It appears that the races were changed in the film. Those who know the real family state that the kids are of Mexican-Hispanic descent or of mixed races. The mother is White. 





 Someone also mentioned the name Weatherly in connection with this family. Perhaps this is the last name of some of the other siblings.

Well it looks like the mother is still having issues. Here is her latest arrest record. Looks like she was arrested as late as 2013. She is now around 60 years old. I couldn't find an actual photo of her. But, I will keep checking.
